Want to be a hospital volunteer this summer?

The Johns Hopkins Hospital Department of Volunteer Services hosts a Summer Junior Volunteer Program every year for high school students who are at least 15 years old.  The year’s program runs from Friday, June 26, to Friday, August 14 — seven weeks. Students accepted into the program can earn from 80 to 120 service learning hours by volunteering two to three days per week in administrative positions or patient/family-centered positions.

The application packet (available here) includes an application, a parental consent form, an essay question, and two school recommendation forms.  The listed items are considered a complete application packet. The entire packet must be completed and postmarked by Saturday, February, 28, 2015, for consideration. The application process is competitive and not all applicants will be accepted.
