The Baltimore County Summer Visual Arts Enrichment Program provides a wonderful opportunity for students in Grades 3-12 to build their personal art skills and add to their art portfolios. A variety of courses are offered to meet the varied needs and interests of the student whether the student is seeking to improve his or her art skills or is preparing a portfolio for consideration for gifted and talented coursework, acceptance into a magnet program, entrance into a college program, or preparation for an Advanced Placement exam.
The camp will be held July 6-17, 2015, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday at Perry Hall High School. The cost of the program is $375. Transportation will be available from selected schools.
An open house/reception will be held on the evening on Thursday, July 16, 2015, giving students, families, and teachers the opportunity to share in the two-week summer experience and to exhibit the artworks created.
For more information or an application, please go to http://www.bcps.org/offices/visual_arts/summer_art_EP.html. The application deadline is June 15.
(If a student does not have permanent and adequate housing, is temporarily staying in a shelter, group home, or with friends/family due to economic hardship, that child or his or her parents/guardian should ask the principal for a waiver and a copy of the brochure entitled Homeless Children and Youth in Baltimore County Public Schools.)
