Free summer institute to introduce students to careers in the transportation industry

The National Transportation Center at Morgan State University is now accepting applications for its 19th annual Summer Transportation Institute (STI). The free STEM program is open to students who will enter the 10th, 11th , or 12th grade in September 2015. STI is a non-residential program, and it will be held on Morgan’s campus from June 29-July 24, 2015.

STI introduces participants to the many career opportunities available in the transportation industry. The program features four weeks of field trips, hands-on projects, and networking opportunities with industry professionals. The curriculum also features SAT prep and activities that promote self-awareness.

Students receive a full scholarship that covers the entire cost of attending the program, including all lab fees and field trips. Lunch and bus passes are also provided daily. In addition, each participant receives a $250 stipend upon completion of the program.
