Through its annual College Application Boot Camp, BCPS offers a special opportunity for rising seniors to get started on their college applications. A representative from a highly selective college will discuss how admissions decisions are made. English teachers will help students write college essays using both the common application and the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) common application. College counselors will provide valuable information about the application process, state scholarships, financial aid, and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) process. Attendance for both days is strongly encouraged. This event will be held at Loch Raven High School, 1212 Cowpens Avenue, on the following dates:
• Thursday, June 25, 2015, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (lunch will be provided)
• Friday, June 26, 2015, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. – Parents are welcome to attend on this date.
Interested students should notify their school counselor by Friday, June 5, 2015.
