Baltimore County Public Schools will hold a free, two-day College Application Boot Camp for students in the Class of 2016. During the two days:
- A representative from a highly-selective college will discuss how admissions decisions are made.
- English teachers will help students write college essays using both the common application and the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) common application.
- College counselors will provide valuable information about the application process, state scholarships, financial aid, and the National Collegiate Athletic Association process.
- Parents are encouraged to attend Friday for a parent panel.
Attendance for both days is strongly encouraged. Students interested in participating in the boot camp must RSVP through their Naviance accounts by Friday, June 5, 2015. Students should see their school counselors if they have any questions.
When: Thursday, June 25, 2015, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for students (Lunch will be provided.) and Friday, June 26, 2015, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for students and parents
