The University of Maryland College Park’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions for invites current Grade 10 and Grade 11 students and their parents to its upcoming free College Access Conference. Designed especially for students from underrepresented groups and those who will be the first in their families to attend college, sessions will provide valuable information on topics such as the application process, writing a college essay, how to get involved on campus, parenting a new student, and merit scholarships and financial aid. The session regarding the college application process and the campus tour will be offered in both English and Spanish. The day will also include a luncheon featuring a student panel and an academic information fair with representatives from the university’s academic schools and colleges.
The conference will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2015, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.in the Stamp Student Union on the University of Maryland College Park campus.
